'The Saga of Darren Shan' Character Model WIP
The character model for my Darren Shan inspired character, Evra Von, has finally been completed. I deviated from
my original proportions because I thought it would be more fun and
creative to simplify him and make him low-poly. He looks more suited for a mobile/app game, which I like. It took a long time to get the
style how I wanted and to match my Bakery Character but I'm pretty happy with how the model turned out. I'm really looking forward to texturing the scales!
Here are my progress screenshots!
Started
with a basic shape for the head then deleted textures which will be covered by hair. The textures will show detail so I could use simple shapes.

Bakery Character Model WIP
Finally! A project update!
The character model for my Bakery Character, April, has finally been completed. I ended up deviating from my original proportions because I thought it would be more fun and creative to make her low-poly and simple. It took a long time to get the style how I wanted but I'm pretty happy with how the model turned out. Mostly I'm looking forward to texturing her with bright, cute colours!
Here are my progress screenshots!
Started with a basic shape for the head. Focused on keeping the shape simple as the texturing will show most of the detail. Really enjoyed making her braid!

First Character Model
So as part of my uni work, I created my first character model! Techically I suppose it's my second, but we don't talk about first year. Seriously, I didn't even know what UV texture maps were so lord knows how I managed to texture that disaster-model.
But looking to the future and the positives, I created a character to go in a medieval village game environment I'm working on as part of Team Celt at uni. The environment looks like it's going to be great, I'll make a post about that when I have a bit more to show.
The character was originally going to be a female alchemist character in a more fantasy Skyrim-ish world but that look wasn't easy to show without some kind of explanation to go alongside her.
I settled for a medieval worker which I was able to texture and rig with only a handful of breakdowns, success!
Here's some renders!
